Colette and DJ Heather are two of the most celebrated artists on the Om Records roster, working around the globe on recording projects and in concerts with such artists as Depeche Mode, Derrick Carter and Greenskeepers.

DJ Colette: DJ Colette has been floating around the electro-dance scene since the late 80’s, but don’t think for a second that this resident Chicagoan has cowered in the corner, not contributing, these past few decades. As one of the most unmistakable mezzo-soprano voices of post-millennial house music, Colette has traveled all over the world, singing over her flow of pumping Chicago house music, these past 20 years. She’s been dubbed Om Records “First Lady of House” and has taken a residency (alongside fellow Om Records lablemate Kaskade) at SmartBar in Chicago. Her first album (Hypnotized ) became the most downloaded dance album on iTunes and saw singles reach the top of Billboard’s Dance Club Play Singles and even make it onto “The Devil Wears Prada” soundtrack. Quickly becoming a “Newcomer to Watch” (in JANE magazine) and filed under “Hot New Music” (in Interview magazine), Colette has solidified her place on the modern dance/house scene, especially with the release of her house-based second album Push. This house music chick has been compared to Kylie Minogue and Deborah Harry, yet she successfully holds her own, especially alongside fellow veteran DJ Heather (who she’s known for over 15 years).

DJ Heather: The Chicago house community unleashed another electronic wonder when the genre-busting DJ Heather began hitting the scene. Traveling the world displaying her sharp skills and intimate knowledge of the decks, Heather plays with an eclectic selection of tunes–a fusion of disco, classic house, and techno music. Influenced by acts such as Blondie, KISS, and the Jackson 5 as well as the emergence of British New Wave, Ska, Punk, and Hip Hop, the DJ’s enthusiasm for the scene has only increased over the past decade. With 15 years of experience, it’s safe to say that this chick has become one of the Windy City’s finest house music exports, having been named one of Chicago’s Top 45 Artists (next to Kanye West and Billy Corgan) and received other accolades worldwide.
